Privacy policy

The short version
The numbers you type into the calculator — your wage, hours, deductions, filing status, and state — never leave your device. All calculations run in your browser using JavaScript. We do not transmit, store, log, or have any access to your paycheck inputs.
What we collect
- Calculator inputs: none. They are processed only in your browser and discarded when you leave the page.
- Contact form: if you message us, we receive the name, email, and message you provide, and use them only to reply.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may record standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to operate and secure the site.
- Advertising & analytics cookies: as described below, where enabled.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We support the site with ads served by Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

EU/UK visitors & consent
Where personalised ads are shown to visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, Google requires the use of a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) that gathers consent under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework before advertising cookies are set. Where such a CMP is deployed, you will be asked for consent and can withdraw it at any time via the CMP's controls. Until you consent, only non-personalised or no advertising cookies are used.
Your GDPR rights (EEA/UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email privacy@hourlypaycheckcalculator.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we do not receive your calculator inputs, those cannot be accessed or exported; requests generally concern contact-form messages and advertising data held by our partners.
Your California rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell your personal information for money. Under the CPRA, the use of advertising cookies to serve personalised ads may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: you can opt out by (1) enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honour where technically feasible, (2) using Google Ads Settingsto disable personalised ads, and (3) emailingprivacy@hourlypaycheckcalculator.org with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.”
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above.
